About Town Heritage

Town Heritage began with a simple idea: every town has a story worth preserving.

We are a community of local historians, residents, and enthusiasts working together to map, record, and share the history of our towns and villages — for everyone, forever.

What We Do

  • Map heritage sites — so they can be found and explored
  • Gather photos — old and new — to show how places have changed
  • Build groups — where people with shared interests can connect
  • Record stories — that might otherwise be lost
  • Keep everything open — free, independent, and community-owned

Our Values

Community First
Everything we build serves the people who contribute — not advertisers or investors.
Preservation
Once recorded, heritage is preserved — we never delete history, only archive it.
Accessibility
Everyone should be able to explore and contribute — regardless of background or ability.
Honesty
AI helps us, but humans always have the final say. Every decision is transparent.

You don't need to be an expert — just someone who cares about where we live. Every photo, memory, and conversation helps build our shared record.
